"My name is Paolo, I’m 32, from Cremona, and I can say that the Academy has literally changed my life!
I spent 10 years working as a graphic designer, and I was about thirty when I realized that at that job I wouldn’t realize my dream: see the world working among people from different cultures!
I thought it was too late for me to change. Then a fortuitous phone call from my old school friend Michele La Rosa produced a spark, and I ended up going with him to Bergamo to meet with Rocco Tessicini. I made Rocco miss his lunch because of my inquiry about the Academy and the curricula offered; that night I enrolled in the following CCNA course.
In May the course begun with the fantastic Instructor Michael Querci and I realized I had made the right choice.
I’ve always loved computers and technology, but my skill in networking at that time barely allowed me to distinguish a hub from a switch and to configure a modem to connect to the BBS ...
In August 2006 I left my job to concentrate on the CCNA course and certification; in January I was already working with a Cisco Gold Partner in Milan, where I got considerable experience in Cisco equipment, and also some in VPN and VoIP.
Finally, in March 2008 I received a phone call from England about a job in Brussels’ Cisco SMB TAC: it was the opportunity I dreamt of! I passed in several interviews, and finally, in June 2008, I bought the one-way air ticket to Brussels!
Now I can finally confirm that working abroad among people speaking different languages is the best! I am so happy with my choice that I enrolled in the CCNP course, travelling back and forth between Brussels and Bergamo every weekend. Fortunately there are low-cost flights! "
