The number of people and, in particular, of companies acting in the networking domain, with local and geographic networks, is dramatically increasing but qualified human resources to plan, maintain and implement a network are dramatically decreasing. This problem closely affects either technology vendors either companies that experience increasing difficulty in finding, internally or externally, people able to face the challenges posed by the most recent technologes for the electronic communication.

To fill this very gap Cisco Systems, networking leader all over the world, created the Cisco Networking Academy Program, an exhaustive learning program to acquaint yourself with the operations on small/medium size networks.

The program aims to no-profit organizations, such as Universities, high schools, public companies, centers for professional education. Till now, more than 10.000 Networking Academies have been founded all over the world and there are more than 1.000.000 students attending their courses in 162 different countries. In Italy, more than 320 Networking Academies are active: education centers, schools, universities and Public Administration qualified, joining that program, more than 600 instructors and every year they activate classes for more than 15000 students.

The Cisco Networking Academy Program, planned by instruction experts, is offered in blended mode to conjugate self-learing in eLearning mode and in-presence teaching through instructor's led courses and labs. This reference model optimizes the learning effectiveness. The most important training path is CCNA, Cisco Certified Network Associate, divided into 4 modules, since it gives the basics to become a network expert. At the end of the class the Networking Academy Certificate of Course Completion is delivered. CCNA courses represent an exhaustive preparation for the industry certifications ICND1, ICND2 or CCNA which can be assessed at any Pearson Vue authorized test center.

Beyond the CCNA course for the first level certification, the class preparing for the CCNP (professional level) certification is available and it is divided into three sub-modules. The italian class IT Essentials, to get ready for the Eucip IT Administrator/CompTIA certifications, is available too.
